You can stay one night before and after the lock without charge. There is a great anchor place 2 Nm after Betonhaven Oosterschelde (next to Neeltje Jans buoy G14).
Roompot Luis and Zeelandbrug can be reached on VHF 18.
The Oosterschelde flows at an average of 2 mph.
Sailing advice on the North Sea: in northern direction (Scheveningen) 2 hours before high water (HW) Hoek v. Holland. In southern direction towards the Belgian coast is 2 hours before low tide to Roompot.
Post Wemeldinge is listening on VHF 68.
