Sailing info

Coming from Den Oever, Texel or Kornwerderzand sail to the MH4-M1. Near the marina log on to channel 62. The marina entrance lies just behind the the ferry harbour.

When there are strong Northwest winds (7 and up) the sea can be treacherous at the Molengat, especially at low water.
There is a strong tidal current at Texel (up to 4 knots). The strongest tidal flow is NE about 4 hours after low water (LW) and SW about 2 hours before LW.

Comming from the sea through the Molengat, the SE tidal stream flows in the same direction at about 3 hours to 6 hours after LW, via the Schulpengat the NW-going tidal stream flows in the same direction at about 1 hours to 6 hours after LW. The Texelflow flows in the same direction from 5 hours before to 1 hour after LW.

The marina has 210 berths. It's a perfect place to start for trips to England and the Dutch-Frisian-Islands. The entrance to the marina is 7 meters wide.

Breskens

Breskens.jpgThe Marina dates from the end of the 1940s. The latest development is expansion of the Marine in the direction of Port Scaldis in 1994. This increased the Marina’s capacity to 580 moorings and approximately 80 private fishing boats.
