Gaastra Dragon Worlds in just seven days

Just one more week till the Dutch Dragon Worlds will start. During the qualifications, seventy sailors from seventeen countries have qualified to enter the championships. Amongst them are 30 Olympic sailors.

The Dutch Dragon Association is very proud to organize the event. 2009 is the 80th birthday of the international dragon. Moreover it is the
first time a World Championship is organized in Holland. The Dragon is a sailed by a crew of 3 sailors and has been an Olympic is a three men keelboat that was an Olympic Class form 1948 until 1972.
The event will take place from 3-11 September 2009 in Medemblik, a popular location for watersports in the Netherlands. In general the competition in the Dragon Class is very strong. Watersportinfo looks forward to an exiting race!
